However, it is important to note that these o-rings are not recommended for prolonged exposure to most oils, as this may compromise their integrity. Notably, EPDM can be cured using either Sulphur or Peroxide methods. Sulphur curing tends to be less expensive and easier to process; however, the resultant product may be somewhat tacky and may exhibit some bloom on the surface. In contrast, peroxide curing is a more complex process but yields EPDM o-rings with enhanced chemical, thermal, and aging resistance, making them suitable for more demanding applications.
